Las Vegas Real Estate Blog

What are we blogging about?... You tell me!

How do you like this for a fact: Five years ago, the total number of Internet blogs was put at around 50. Today, the estimates range from 2.4 to 4.1 million.... I would say; Now we're talking!...

But what are we talking about?... That'll probably be the greatest challenge as we can talk and talk and talk and talk for days on end... (in fact, we can talk for so long that people die, go to heaven, are reincarnated, and we are still sitting in front of the computer - with bleeding fingers - typing... Or is that just my subconscious talking? :-)

Quantity doesn't mean quality "for sure" but one thing is "for sure", blogging opens a wide door for our minds to expend, learn, observe and absorb everything that is important to our individual development.

To whom are we talking?... With the instant translation in any language, you may think of, all around the world... blogging exploded into a massive global form of communication, information, debating and sharing opinions. The old websites, no matter how brilliant and attractive, become as ancient as a Dead Sea scroll...

Look who is talking!!!... No limitation of any kind: Equal opportunities for everyone who have a pad, a mouse and a Webster handy! (brain is not mandatory...). They can get as silly as they can be, as offensive as they can be, as boring as they can be ... and of course as brilliant as they can be.

Even dogs can do it! "Cause dogs aren't GEEKS!" ... Woof, woof!

Equal opportunity for anyone who has the "guts" and eternal youth...

"Oh boy, blogging is better than my poker game!!! even better than the sex (what's that?)... don't remember".

Oh grandma!

Can't sleep... need to check my blog!

Oh baby!

With about everything under the sun in the blogging world... the business world can be a very stuffy and uptight place if one lets it. Blogging about your business is an entire different ball game. Blogs are already moving up market and improving. The term "Professional Blogger" is no longer an oxymoron... Here we are!  ActiveRain is an example of just that: " having a good time, fun while doing business at it's best".       I thing we've got it right!

And... Yes, blogging is entertainment. It is performance. Each blog post a show, sometimes an opera, sometimes a 30 second commercial. Like a show, it may start with a bang, lead you along from song to song, have a great climatic moment, then leave the audience wanting more.

************************

"The bottom line is that blogging is like sex. You can't fake it. You can't fake passion. You can't fake wanting to engage with the public. If you do, it will ultimately be an unsatisfying experience for both the blogger and their readers." (Kevin Anderson)

THE  END!

Arina,  So true that if you have nothing interesting to say...people get pretty bored.  How are things in Vegas these days?

"...the business world can be a very stuffy and uptight place if one lets it."

Yup, that sizes me up. I was a "suit" a long time ago. Ain't never going back. As to the notion of blogging and sex as you get older you lose your concentration and that activity becomes another ...

[Um, anyone see my keys? Oh look there's a cardinal at the feeder. Your sister called. Damn cable TV!]

distraction ;)

Karen , Well, you know, Vegas will always be Vegas... the real estate is starting to pick up these days specially on the high rise condos on the Strip... What would be Vegas without the old exciting Strip???...

HAHAHA, very interesting read!  I am new to the world of blogging and am learning, albeit slowly, to write appealing, while at the same time interesting blogs.  Visual appearance is as important as substance...much like sex...???!!!

Arina, I loved this, it still has me laughing and it's very true.  There are so many blogs out there on everything you can imagine....This reminds me of a Seinfied episode somehow :)

Arina, this is such a funny post. Blogging is like sex, you can't fake it. You come up with great lines. I do think the entertaining blogs are like episodes on TV. You just can't wait for the next installment. Great cartoons, especially the last one, which I think is a theme for some bloggers. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH blog on....

Susan , Thanks for leaving a comment. I have to tell you that I had a large smile on my face while writing this post... I need it badly!

Jeff , As a beginner in writing and blogging is matter of practice. You start slowly and steadily learning on the way up to your best!... like in everything else -:)

Carole, I am glad I made you laugh... Once in a while we should be silly and crack jokes.

Andrew, How right!... It all starts going downhill with age. Like you said we lose our "concentration"... then we lose the sense of humor and finally we lose "them all"!!! But we'll always have the blogging... LOL

Kathy, How nice of you to remember and come by. It's so good to get away from daily work and spend quality time with your family. I'll enjoy -:)

Chris , Just wait!... won't be long before you'll get totally addicted to blooging like so many others here on AR. It will catch up wiyh you.
Posted by Arina S. Hanciulescu about 1 year ago

Julianna, I am sure that we all have some confessions to make when it comes to blooging... and getting "caught up" in the middle of action.

Cindy, the research points to the benefits of blooging... specially when someone has so much to tell the world as you have. -:)

Arina - this is a great post, however I still know some who are not blogging at all. In fact, someone (not in real estate) asked me what a blog was . . . I agree with you that you "can't fake it".

Sometimes I feel like the last clip art---I have nothing to blog about, but still feel compelled to blog--Are we the new Seinfeld--which was a show about nothing, lol !
