A true Christmas story...

I want to get away from all the troubles and pains this world is consumed with these days. Christmas is a time of reflection, time to feel child again, time to wish for miracles in your life... Time to reborn and start a better more meaningful life.

I don't know about others but Christmas time for me is the return to all I love and cherish the most.

Have a Merry Christmas

The Redeemer Is Announced
From the New Testament of the Bible
Luke 1:26-38

" Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"
But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. An behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."

Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?" And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth our relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible."
Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her."

Jesus is the reason for the season. Its a shame how that seems to get lost to alot of people

Hi Arina,  Just what the season is all about.  Thank you for posting.  Somehow it all comes back to Jesus no matter what.  He is precious all year round not just on Christmas but I love the fact that even in Massachusetts you can still see a Salvation kettle and hear a Christmas carroll in one of the stores.  God bless you.

Thank you Michael, glad to see you still around. I wish you best holidays and a prosperous, better year to come. Hopefully next year Christmas we all have more to celebrate.

Hugh: To me Christmas will always be the magic of Jesus birth and the love he brought on earth. Thank you for your comment.

Pat:Thanks for coming to my post. I think that I know what you mean. Indeed every year the spirit of Christmas is fading away and become a forbidden tradition. It is a shame... But the true spirit of love will never die.

I am so glad he was sent for us.. just think of where we might be if our Creator did not send His son to redeem us??

I shudder to think about it....and.....

I am SO GLAD I don't have to ponder that thought,
because I KNOW Him who has purchased me....

Glory to God in the highest!!
