Add Language Translation to your Website - Language Tools... GOOGLE

GoogleHow to make foreign visitors love your website even if they don't understand your language ? Add Language Translation to website and blogs - The most popular free Web-based language translation tools are offered by Google.

Google Translate: Available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Simplified). The translated pages can even be bookmarked.
Today, people are blogging in multiple languages to create a conversation with readers outside the English Speaking blogosphere. Free language translation tools let bloggers post messages simultaneously in English, German, French, Spanish and other languages.

There are two methods to let your visitors easily translate your website:

  • Method ONE: All these services provide a translation box. To translate a webpage, you simply type in the URL of the website, choose the source and target language, and click the Translate button. [ Google Translate ]
  • Method TWO: Here we will integrate the translation form in the website itself without requiring the user to visit any external page for translation. Your web visitors will be able to translate foreign language content into their native language by simply clicking the country flag icon. (Notice the top right corner of this page to see the various country flag icons).

I had one of my clients ask me why I did not have this feature?  I guess I need to open my eyes to the world.  We are not the only ones out there as americans.

Thanks for this tool.  You are so right that people are wanting to translate information.  I would also like to know how it can be uploaded to the AR profile page.

What do you do when they call you on the phone and start speaking in their native tongue?  I vote no translation, unless YOU speak fluently in that particular language.

Thanks for the information and reminder about translation for our website visitors. As I always look to see what country a visitor may come from, I feel it is important to have a translation tool.

As I believe that instant  translation is going to be a huge explosion in today's communication technology, we should be on top of all we have available to brake up the language barriers, and ease the communication worldwide. I know that is more to come but for the moment I appreciate the ability to have more people from all over the world able to understand and read my website and blogs.

Canton: Thanks for comment and do so...

Michael: How to upload the code into your pages? Depends what have you been using to edit and upload pages in the first place. If you have a website I assume that you used an editing program to edit your pages...Note Pad, Microsoft FrontPage or any other editing software out there. In any of those you have to open the main page of your site (or blog) into that editing format - and just copy and paste the code into that page-  It is always better to have the translation code at the top of page.

After that you upload the page to your sever... Could be FTP or FrontPage. If you still don't know just shut me an email and let me know what program you using for your site.

Gary: You right we have to adjust to our times and communication revolution.

Nicole:Thank you for coming by.

Joan:Very good question... I am looking into it and let you know. For other blogs out there is no problem to ad the translation code but on AR I don't know myself... But I'll get back to you with an answer.

Barry: Bravo! great work

Chris:Thank you and come back if you are interested in using the code on AR Blog.

Ref:  "Remember to replace the value of variable "u" with the URL of your website"

Please excuse this very basic question, but I'm having trouble with this.

("<input name=u value="+location.href+" type=hidden>") Can you please show me 'where' to put my URL in here.

I've tried several ways but when one of the flags is clicked the page goes to google's translation page and you have to type in the URL. I want to be able to just click on a flag and receive the translated page.

Thanks so much.

Drew:I revised my post and delted the flags in top of the code... It was confusing. Thank tou for the comment.

Tomisan: I wish I could have your email so that I could get back to you faster with the answer to your question. Remember to replace the value of variable "u" with the URL of your websitewas not referring to the Code. That would of open a google page where you could translate any page of your site... therefore not to be included in the large code at the bottom of the post. Sorry for the confusion.

The Code must stay intact. Just copy and paste it, as is, in your html page code.
