Interior Designing and Staging!... any difference?

Yes, Yes and Yes!

An Interior Designer (ID) "works" for the homeowners while a Home Stager (HS) "works" for the home. It's all about the end product. In Interior Designing, the end product is the customer's satisfaction. In Staging, it's the buyer's acceptance of the product.

  • Interior Designing (ID) expert reinvent your home's living spaces using your existing home furnishings to take advantage of what you already have. When you are living in your home you usually want to express your individual tastes. You want to feel a sense of happiness and to be YOU! You don't sell the house.
  • The objectives are different when you are Staging (HS) your home for sale. You don't want the prospective buyer to be distracted by with your decor, be envy over your art collection or focused on your great black and white photography collection of your family. You don't sell the decor... You want them to be able to focus on the HOUSE!...

Before

After

Staging is not rocket science! Much of it is common sense. Much of this is related to Clean Up....Clear Out.....Fix In.....Fix Out! The hardest part is to be able to be objective. Most of the time you can do it yourself eliminating the cost related to using a professional stager. As a seller you have to make the effort to present your home in the best light, to highlight the features that make it desirable. You have to know your targeted buyer's expectation and lifestyle.

  • Buyers want a home that suits their needs and makes them feel a sense of happiness. You want them to get a vision of how their things and their family could fit in it.
  • When the "price is right" and the house is presented in "attractive light" the buyer will make a quick decision.

Breast Cancer... Race for the Cure!

When I was in my late 20's, and living at that time in Hawaii, I discovered 2 lump's in one of my breast... Needless to say I was terrified! My grandmother (from my father's side) had 2 breast cancer, one at 35 of age and the second time at 52 of age. Miraculously she survived and had a blessing long life.

Surviving breast cancer sometimes means the loss of one or both breasts. One of the options afterwards may be a breast prosthesis. And she had to wear one through all her glorious young years... But she was the most positive, happy and optimistic woman. A great role model... Fortunately I was lucky enough to overcome the condition as I was diagnosed with benign lymph nodes. But since that moment I become very aware of how important is to reduce your risk of breast cancer, by making smart changes in your lifestylelife. What your risk factors may be, and which are within your control.

Race For The Cure is one of southern Nevada's largest breast cancer fund-raisers and the event keeps growing. To receive a free Buddy Check 8 kit including a breast health brochure and a self breast examination shower card call: (702) 82-CHECK (822-4325)

Recycle Your Cell Phone... helping the environment!

I don't know about others but I am quite addicted to cell phones and have in use several... Few days ago, while going through my drawers, I found 3 old cell phones that I'll never use and thinking what to do with them to unclutter my drawers. I came accross the information in how to dispose of the old cell phones.

Cell phone makers and service providers have teamed up with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to launch a cell phone recycling program. The EPA is starting a major campaign to education cell phone users on what to do with their old phones. Currently, less than 20-percent of old phones are recycled.

Drop It Off

Drop off your old cell phone, PDA, cell phone batteries, chargers, or other accessories at one of the retailers or service providers below. Visit the links for detailed drop-off and collection event information.

Recycling a cell phone offers an opportunity for everyone to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save energy, and conserve natural resources. To learn more, go to >>> http://www.epa.gov/cellphone/
