There is the word; "Dress for success"... and going even farther there is lot of truth in using the fashion to build someones appearance of success, accentuate its physical qualities and bust its personal confidence. In many ways the fashion is an effective, powerful tool to subtly make personal, social and political statements.
USA TODAY's article "Style becomes a real issue in '08 presidential race." raise the issue of politics and fashion. In all honesty, what have we come to? When did a presidential candidate start becoming a fashion icon rather than a political figure (Life, Cover story, Oct. 15)?
Arianna Huffington, writing in October's Harper's Bazaar says voters want sexiness and good looks to "go hand in hand with empathy, compassion and caring."
"This is an election, maybe the first one since Kennedy-Nixon, where appearance really does matter," says Tom Kolovos, a Chicago-based style-and-image consultant...
"I used to be hip. I can't be hip anymore. I'm running for president,"... Obama told the Vibe magazine. He has to be careful about what his clothes telegraph. When the magazine put him on its September cover, he was offered hip-hop duds for the photo shoot. He declined.
In this extraordinary and heated presidential campaign, every detail counts and so it does for the average "Joe" caught in the political fewer... In case you haven’t heard yet, even politically charged t-shirts can be considered high fashion...specially in the hit of a political campaign.

Blue State, Red State. Win State, Lose State... Whatever States... Political tension translates into a trend of hot political "correct - incorrect" fashion expression.
The clothing fashion can make a powerful statement about who you are and were are you standing in the political environment... Speaks volumes! Have no doubt about someones convictions, emotions and affiliations by the aperals they chose to wear.
