Deep Linking: Think Beyond Your Home Page

The subject of linking and the effectiveness or else, that comes from good linking strategy is a long disputed subject. Quite often I see some still puzzled and little confused as the popular believe that Google punish the links pages.

There are 2 type of links:

1. Links to your home page are known as "shallow links." Too many shallow links cause search engines to question the validity of your links.

2. A more effective way to link is called "deep linking." Deep links are links to internal content pages. Search engines favor these types of links because they appear to be more natural.

MICHAEL RUSSER the Mr. Internet came with a very compeling answer to this question. He recomands (see below) popular Web sites that should be to on your site. for more details read >>>

  1. Google Local.
  2. Yelp.
  3. InfoSpace.Infospace
  4. Real Estate Voices.
  5. Localism. Localism is a social community Web site geared toward real estate consumers. Because localism is relatively new, it's easy to get your information to stand out as there is little competition. (You must be a member of ActiveRain to post to Localism).
  6. Flickr.Flickr
  7. Google Video.
  8. Librarian's Internet Index.
  9. Google Housing Search.
  10. Ezine Articles.

Dog Eat Dog & Vice Versa... industry!

We all depend very much on "The big dogs" of Real Estate industry. The mega power of advertising and marketing. I feel sometimes lost as I am trying to go through massive advertising services and provide a successful advertising for my own listings... Where to go? Or shell I say: Can I do it myself?

Recently I found on Realtor Store a book on the same subject: http://www.realtor.org/prodser.nsf/OpenProd?OpenForm&IN=141-259

  • Member Price: $24.95
  • Nonmember Price: $29.95

Few words about the book: (Quote)

Instead of relying on the ancient wisdom still being taught as modern marketing techniques - old sales tactics and flimflam methods from the early 1900s - this book offers you ways to STOP IT and move into the 21st Century. Use the 9 Secrets to grow your market and increase your business's bottom line - no matter what size organization you run.

What You'll Find Inside:
Chapter 1: Do It Now!
Chapter 2: People Don't Read!
Chapter 3: A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Bucks!
Chapter 4: No One Wants to Be Sold!
Chapter 5: YADA YADA DATA
Chapter 6: A Two Word Solution to Marketing
Chapter 7: Marketing is a Contact Sport
Chapter 8: There's No Bull's (Eye) In Target Marketing
Chapter 9: The High Flown Hype of Hyperspace
Chapter 10: Dare to be Unique
Chapter 11: It Doesn't Have to be Expensive to be Effective

I submitt to you that this is well spend money and a great help in carving our unique advertising... using the internet tools,

Las Vegas... Running Out of Water?

While Las Vegas was once one of the most wasteful cities in the nation in regards to water, they have slowly become extremely conservative with water and its uses.  Despite having multiple casinos with water shows and sprinklers that run in part during the blazing heat, Las Vegas has made a tremendous effort to rein in the amount of water that they use overall, especially in the summer months.

People need water. It's an inescapable equation, and one that faces Las Vegas. Once little more than a gambling outpost and a refugee from Los Angeles stage, Las Vegas grow into a world metropolis of entertainment and a fastest-growing city in the nation. The major water supply for Las Vegas comes from the Colorado River, which has undergone a drought as a result of climate change,

Las Vegas officials constantly preach water conservation in the desert city, a encouraging citizens to use less water, even going so far as paying homeowners to completely remove the grass from their yards, so as to require less moisture. More and more the lushes grass landscape is replaced by gorgeous dessert landscape... dry vegetation and rocks. The serenity of green was replaced with the dramatism of desert scenery.

There is still more to do as a collective effort, from the officials to every citizen, to help bring changes.

Las Vegas most don't know...

When you hear Las Vegas you think: Aha, the Sin City!... where anything goes. But there are soo many other beautiful and interesting places where you can spend quality time without to even feel like they are in the same city. Here below are some of my favborites. Check them out.

Red Rock Canyon Red Rock Canyon's genesis occurred about 65 million years ago. You can reach this place easily by car; it's about a 45 minute drive from downtown Las Vegas.
Siegfried & Roy's Dolphin Habitat & Secret Garden Just inside the Mirage, there's a glassed room off to the side, where you can observe a lone white tiger. This white tiger is only a preview of the actual exhibit.
Summer's Bounty TableauBellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Inside of the Bellagio Hotel there are many neat things to fascinate tourist's interests. The conservatory consists of a 14,000 square foot room full of living plants, trees and flowers done up to make wonderful displays representing the different seasons.
Hiking Hiking this trail requires a permit from the Bureau of Land Management. You can reach them by calling (435) 688-3246.
Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art  Bellagio plans to extend it, the private art collection of actor/comedian/writer extraordinary Steve Martin is on view from April 7 - September 23, 2001.  Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art
Imperial Palace Auto Collection If you enjoy antiques or if you are an automobile buff, this is one attraction you don't want to miss. Housed inside the Imperial Palace Hotel Casino
Ethel M's Chocolates and Cactus Garden Photos  A small marvel is located in nearby Henderson at Sunset Way and Mountain Vista. The Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden is well worth the visit. Named for the mother of the founder of the Mars Candy Company,
White Tiger Habitat Photos If you're an animal lover, you'll want to see the "White Tiger Habitat" at the Mirage hotel/casino.
