Adopting a pet... wonderful experience!

I lost count on how many pets I rescued and adopted since I was a child... Never had a moment without to share it with my pets and,(all kinds from: dogs, cats, birds, ferret, turtles, hamsters, iguana...) tell you the truth, nothing gives me more pleasure than to talk about all the wonderful experiences I had. I may been in my life lonely and had difficult times but never missed the love and companion of pets.

Isn't what your heart desire the most... the unconditional love of a pet? There is no better cause than to rescue a pet and fill your home and heart with love.

Go get your Baby! Sharing your life with an animal companion is a wonderful experience,

At The Animal Foundation, which is the regional animal shelter for Clark County, The City of North Las Vegas and the City of Las Vegas, no animal is ever put down because of a lack of space or time. The Animal Foundation is committed to changing the way the community cares for its homeless, neglected and stray animals.

Adoption Center at The Animal Foundation is open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adoption prices range from $30 to $150. All pets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have all of their vaccinations including rabies. They are also micro-chipped. There are many wonderful animals waiting for their new families.

Nevada - Hilton Ranch and High-Flying Guests...

In search for Fossett...

Once used to entertain high-rolling gamblers from Hilton casinos in Las Vegas, the Flying M Ranch has become a coveted getaway for aviators and astronauts. They use a mile-long private airstrip and about a dozen planes, free to indulge their passion over a desolate landscape that has clear skies nearly year-round.

Fossett had been staying there with his wife when he took off Monday morning to search for dry lake beds that could be used for his planned attempt to break the land speed record... He never return!

Barron Hilton, son of hotel mogul Conrad Hilton, is himself an avid pilot who has hosted aviators from around the world at his spread about 70 miles southeast of Reno. The ranch, about 70 miles southeast of Reno, has a three-mile private runway and is home to a gaggle of Hilton's planes, including vintage biplanes and the single-engine Citabria that Fossett flew on his trip over the Nevada desert.

Barron Hilton, 79, son of hotel mogul Conrad Hilton and grandfather to celebutante Paris, is an experienced pilot who bought the ranch in the mid-1960s. It was called Mitchell Springs in the 1860s and was owned by rancher Henry Morgan since 1870, according to the book "Place Names of Lyon County."

The private airstrip, where aviator Steve Fossett took off from Monday, located at the ranch of hotel magnate William Baron Hilton, near Yerington, Nev. is seen, Wednesday, September 5, 2007.

Grandparents Day ...

We all have grandparents to remember... They are part of our soul and heart and we carry them along our life whenever we go!

As far as my childhood memories goes back in time, I remember vividly the warmth, love and sweet presence of my grandfather (in particular). He is part of my life even today 15 years after he passed away... and will never leave me.

I am so happy to see how important and celebrated this day is in our busy, crazy sometimes insane life. For me my grandparents will always be the light on the other side that gives me strengths and means to go day by day doing what is decent and right to do. They are my icon.

Remembering 9-11... Facing history!

It is not a day of joy but pain... It is a time, now, for great sadness at the needless waste and destruction of precious lives. We know that peace is always God's will; we understand perhaps a bit better now, why.

God reaches out to us with His Holy Spirit of Peace. And we can receive that Spirit if we are open to it. I commend to you lots of prayer, and lots of reading of the wisdom and inspiration of scripture-scripture that has helped God's people deal with every kind of disaster and crisis that has ever faced humanity.

May God strengthen us and guide us all in the days ahead.
