OLD properties in the center of housing craze...

I had a good laugh 2 years ago when I read this article in "Associated Press" ... Never had the time to follow through the story but I guess they found a solution to solve this situation.

The picture is worth 1000 words! How we go around the old town with new ambitious projects.

$1.2 million shackManuel Corchuelo's 700-square-foot house in the Las Vegas neighborhood of Naked City, purchased for $30,000 in 1978, is currently on the market for $1.2 million. The tract home is rapidly being surrounded by high-rise condominium projects.

Once considered deadlocked in the wasteland where the Las Vegas Strip fizzled into a decaying downtown, the World War II-era home is now happily nestled in the shadows of billions of dollars of new and proposed high-rise condominium projects.

Corchuelo's home is one block off Las Vegas Boulevard and across the street from the home of the Allure, a 41-story luxury complex.

"I've been waiting 30 years for this," he said, adding that he knows exactly what he'll do with the money once he sells. "Buy another house," he said.

Does anyone know what happened with Corchuelo's precious property?

Paris Hilton's Hollywood ... For Sale

Paris is ready to move on!

paris.jpg

Paris Hilton, who paid just under $3 million for the house in December 2004, has renovated some parts without altering the original French Baroque features associated with vintage silver-screen Hollywood style.

Paris Hilton is ready to move out of the Hollywood Hills. She will list her 3,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom mansion for $4.25 million.

It was time for her to move to a gated community , protected from paparazzi and intruders... "Something that's more secure and more private." Those security and privacy concerns are easy to understand following the media circus that engulfed Hilton outside her current home during her legal troubles in June.

Built in the 1920s, the four-story Spanish-style home above the Sunset Strip embodies classic old-Hollywood luxury with its high wood-beam ceilings, archways and poolside cabanas.

Does anyone guess where she will buy her next place?... She mentioned in the past that she is looking to get into real estate investment in Las Vegas...

Martha Stewart Finally Selling her home...

Martha Stewart sold her Westport, Conn., estate for $6.7 million -- 26% below the asking price.

The four-acre property, known as Turkey Hill, includes a 3,168-square-foot, three-bedroom farmhouse, built in the 19th century, a converted carriage house and a "party barn" that Ms. Stewart used to entertain guests. The property also includes a pool and gardens. Records show that Ms. Stewart and her then-husband, Andy Stewart, bought the property in two parcels in the early 1970s for a combined $80,750.

Ms. Stewart, 65 years old, launched her career in the house, starting a catering business out of the basement more than 25 years ago. She put the property on the market last year for just under $9 million. Earlier this year, she offered the main house on two acres for $4.5 million, though she never cut the price on the full estate.

"I am so sad to be leaving this property which has meant so much to me and my family. The four acres of garden have been tended with great care for more than 30 years and the circa 1805 farmhouse and outbuildings have been the location of wonderful family celebrations, legendary television specials and comfortable gatherings of friends."
