All about Vegas

What is about Vegas?

What is that stands up and sets in the unsettling feelings about Las Vegas?
Some would love it some would hate it! There is a combination of excitement, flavor of forbidden dreams and empty promises that melts together and intoxicates our wondering minds.

Las Vegas is like Dr. Jackal at night and Dr. Hide in the morning... The history of the city talks for itself. Vegas is notoriously known for is broken dreams, dirty business, gambling, nightlife firecrackers and corruption... and all are so gloriously disguised under the umbrella of fascinating glamors, high-life style, lights, champagne, luxurious cars and beautiful women... It is all an empty dream! From witch many wakes-up in the morning with huge headache and empty pockets.

But hey!!! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! Right?

And so the dream keeps on going and going and going... They all fall into the same trap.

Many things have changed over the last decade in Las Vegas. From the City who never slips and endless parties, mainly on one large Boulevard called Las Vegas Strip. The City woke-up to a new life style becoming a large metropolis with large residential developments, beautiful parks and communities. The Investors, Builders and Architects transformed Vegas into a more domestic "normal lifestyle" kind of city.

And it just happened!

The business of Las Vegas Real Estate was booming! It was HOT, AFFORDABLE and TRENDY to buy properties in Las Vegas, live in Las Vegas, work in Las Vegas.... It was the land of opportunities.
A spontaneous combustion that set in fires the entire Real Estate Industry. Not only for the Residential buildings but for the High Rise Buildings, Luxurious Condos, Casino, Mega Hotels, Restaurants, Night Clubs and ending with the spectacular City Center Complex.

To good to be true! Right?

Housing Industry melts down, Recession, Financial Confusion, Corruption and Money mishandling sets in a new reality. From here it was only one-way street... just going down! Everything has changed now and the mood of life is no longer "honest surviving" but "greed and money grabbing"... returning to the old times of hard gambling, fast money and corruption... anything goes!

But hey!!! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! Right?

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

NOTE: To answer to many who asked about me. I am still around, keeping my real estate active but no longer working in real estate... Travel between San Francisco and Vegas and doing what I love to do the most: Fashion Design Clothing.

Working in the Real Estate here in Las Vegas was a harsh, unbearable experience but I've learned and grew stronger in the world of business.

Life itself is a challenge that we ought to face. You lose some, you win some, but if you never give up, you will discover that sacrifices have the greatest rewards!

Sometimes, God breaks our spirit to save our soul.

He breaks our heart to make us whole.

He sends us pain so we can be stronger.

Sometimes, He sends us failure so we can be humble.

He takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything we have.

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!!!...

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!!!

There is nothing more refreshing than the white snow... specially in Vegas. It is magic, quiet and simply magic. Today's winter storm brought heavy snow to the Spring Mountains and the Red Rock Canyon area spreading down to Summerlin and even in few areas of Las Vegas Valley.

Las Vegas is not used to the White Christmas but today it was a quiet extraordinary disply of beauty and tranquil snow. In fact, the three snowiest months occurred in the Las Vegas Valley in the 20th Century, according to weather service records. The most snowfall was recorded in January 1949, followed by January 1974 with and January 1979.

Here are few images of what today RedRock-Summerlin encountered... Enjoy!

Lets talk Fashion... and Presidential Inauguration!

This event captured the imagination of millions... in the expectation of - not only the Presidential Inauguration - but the beauty and glamour that moment can bring. It is the right time for a big show? ... With all the bad news overseas and in the financial world the country needs a celebration and an Obama inauguration is as good a one as any. But opinions are divided of-course and many people are simply to overwhelmed with economical struggle, to really appreciate the event. On the other hand it's important to commemorate the inauguration of President-Elect Obama in a suitable fashion.

The Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball, galas and other festivities that will mark the dawning of the Obama administration.
This year’s show, which will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C., will feature designs from some of the school’s most prominent alumni, including Leanne Marshall, Project Runway’s season-five winner, and Nick Verreos, a contestant on the show’s 2005 season.

Many Americans eagerly await a glimpse of their first lady's ball gown and will be scrutinized around the world, just as first ladies' gowns have been for hundreds of years.

Michelle Obama: What should she were?

From the First Lady Caroline Harrison whose inaugural dress "caused a great deal of comment because they were the first all American-made gowns to be worn to an inauguration." According to Edith Mayo curator emeritus of the First Ladies exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Museum

To Jacqueline Kennedy's who designed her inaugural dress herself and took it to Bergdorf Goodman to be made. (Mrs. Kennedy had a remarcable flair for fashion and the American public adored.)

And down the line, to all the first ladies whom inaugural dresses were the object of much screening, it's become an American tradition and much expectation to see how they capture the moment. The glamour and style of the first lady is a major player of a lasting impression the new presidential couple will carry on the White House.

So, Michelle Obama: What should she were?
From WWD Issue 12/03/2008
Sassy, sexy adorable vision of the first lady and her two daughters...
Any clothing designer yearns to dress Michelle... With her grace and  natural elegance could raise the profile of American fashion around the world.

Will Michelle Obama wear a Narciso Rodriguez dress on Jan 20, 2009???
